WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?
I coach spiritual seekers, sensitives, and empaths who feel anxious, aimless, and uncertain about their life paths. I coach hesitant risk takers and introspective noise makers-- those who want to step out of the box, but don't yet know how. I coach those who are done playing small and are ready for more.
I coach womxn and LGBTQ+ folks of all races, ethnicities, & abilities.
I strive to be anti-racist and LGBTQ-affirming in my practice and life, and I aim to create a space where all are welcome bringing their whole selves-- including all of their intersecting identities. I commit to myself and my clients to actively work on decolonizing my mind and my healing practice, on an ongoing basis.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIFE COACHING & THERAPY?
Life Coaching and Therapy are both healing modalities that help people improve their lives.
However Life Coaches and Therapists often have different training, focuses, and clients.
There is a lot of overlap, but here are some generalized differences:
1. Life Coaching is typically primarily focused on the present and the future, helping you discover & deliberatly create the life you want to live. Therapy is typically primarily focused on the past, helping you work through past traumas.
2. Life Coaching aims to take people from feeling "good to great", or from functioning to thriving.
Therapy aims to take people from feeling "not-so-great to good", or from suffering to functioning.
Another way to put this is Therapy helps you dig yourself out of a hole.
Life Coaching helps you build your next mountain.
3. Though some coaches, like me, are trained in how to handle trauma, working through trauma is not the primary focus of Life Coaching. Unlike Therapy, Life Coaching typically works best for people who are relatively stable and are not actively in severe trauma, abuse, mental illness, or addiction. The people who benefit most from Coaching are not in crisis, or if they are, they are working concurrently with a
HOW DO WE MEET & HOW OFTEN?
Weekly or every other week are typically best.
Sessions are held over the phone and are recorded for you to keep.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
All potential clients begin with a Free Discovery Session to make sure we're the right fit for what you're looking for. If we find that it is not the right fit, I offer referrals if helpful.
WHAT IF I'M UNSURE?
That's ok! You can book a Free Discovery Session where you can get a feel for what this is and ask me questions. There is no further commitment after that session.
